Intro

Welcome to Theo Rabke's psychotherapy practice, nestled in the heart of New York. Their unique therapeutic approach is chiefly informed by an intricate blend of psychoanalytic theory and academic insights derived from studying Consciousness and Altered States. Theo recognizes therapy as a critical endeavor, beginning with the healing of the individual and eventually expanding toward a grander ambition – the healing of our world. When Theo isn't engaged in transformative psychoanalytic work, you'll find them indulging in simple pleasures such as cooking for friends, exploring the outdoors, keeping active through yoga, or immersing themselves in the energizing rhythms of live music.

Boasting a rich academic background, Theo holds an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, along with added coursework in substance use counseling and over 700 hours of clinical fieldwork. They hold an intriguing bachelor's degree in Consciousness and Altered States from NYU Gallatin, with their self-designed major focusing on a wide range of areas from Tibetan Buddhism and Philosophy of Mind to Psychedelic Studies and Psychoanalysis. Complementing their unique major was a minor in Social Entrepreneurship at NYU Stern School of Business & Wagner School of Public Policy. A pioneer in their field, Theo has completed Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration training under the guidance of Dr. Katherine Maclean and Dr. Ingmar Gorman. Currently a Teaching Assistant for four compelling courses at NYU (Grossman School of Medicine) in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies department, Theo continues to push boundaries in their field. For those seeking innovative and holistic therapeutic services, Theo is currently welcoming new patients through Atrium Psychotherapy.
