Intro

At the Synaptic Institute in Oregon, we are committed to plunging beneath the surface of symptoms to unearth and address the root cause of your health concerns. Our holistic approach to healing taps into the full breadth of your innate potential, allowing you to be a proactive participant in your own wellness journey. Using a blend of traditional methods and evidence-based practices, we offer therapies born of nature, which encompass ketamine-assisted therapy, naturopathic medicine, and counseling services. Our mission centers on education and empowerment, with the ultimate goal of enabling you to be your own healer. To give you a taste of our unique approach, we offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation, during which you'll have the opportunity to discover the benefits of ketamine-assisted therapy and have your most pressing questions addressed.

The Synaptic Institute prides itself on our diversified team of professionals, each bringing a potent blend of skills, knowledge, and passion to the practice. Dr. Matthew earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Integrative Medical Research from Portland's National University of Natural Medicine. His therapeutic approach combines elements of Buddhist psychology, Internal Family Systems, and Hakomi, enriched by his certificate in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Jarrod combines his roles as a naturopathic physician, holistic nutritionist, and Ayurvedic practitioner with his passion for holistic care, food security advocacy, and theosophical inquiry. Dr. Olivia Giguere draws from her foundation in molecular biology and biochemistry to bring a fusion of herbalism, physical medicine, nutrition, hydrotherapy, and counseling techniques to her practice. She is presently pursuing her training in therapeutic psilocybin facilitation through Synaptic Institute. Greg, a licensed marriage and family therapist, offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy while providing trauma informed care to adults and adolescents. He also serves as an adjunct faculty at Lewis and Clark College and Synaptic's Entheogenic Medicine Training Program.
