Situated in the heart of Tennessee, the Mimi Mungomba Practice thrives as a sanctuary for individuals grappling with life's difficulties. The practice offers a compassionate environment for those who have found themselves feeling lost, isolated, or despairing, finding it hard to even pinpoint where their pain is coming from. The practice's focus, however, is firmly planted in creating a nurturing and transformative space for clients that resonates with their unique backgrounds and narratives. Operating from an attachment-focused and experiential perspective, our practice is committed to promoting healing through facilitating the client's own journey in understanding and navigating their emotional landscape. Our specialty is engaging with a wide array of issues, though we find the heart of our work lies in partnering with marginalized populations.

Under the nurturing and intuitive guidance of Mimi Mungomba, the practice seeks to offer a place where clients can find renewed hope, an increased sense of self-awareness, and the transformative power of connection. Born and partially raised in Zambia, and later a resident of Atlanta, Mimi brings a wealth of cultural experience and understanding to her work. She views each person's journey from a place of deep respect for the human experience, with its diverse set of challenges and triumphs. Her aim is to provide an environment that breathes intentional inclusiveness and respect where every client, irrespective of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, relationship preferences, neurodivergence, religious beliefs, physical abilities, educational background, economic status, age and sex feels safe, cherished, and ultimately, healed. As a graduate from the renowned Vanderbilt University and Trevecca Nazarene University, Mimi leverages her rich academic background in her approach to aiding clients on their journey to wholeness. Far and beyond her professional life, she is a lover of travel, literature, nature, and penning beautiful poetry, often drawing upon these personal pleasures to enrich her therapeutic practice.
