Intro

Welcome to Midwest Ketamine Center, nestled in the heart of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Our team of dedicated medical professionals is steadfastly committed to their mission of treating each patient with utmost respect, dignity, and embracing them with profound compassion. We understand how severely mood disorders and chronic pain can impact one's life quality, and our aim is to alleviate such discomforts via the power of ketamine therapy. At the helm of our operations is Dr. Vikas Patel, a U.S. Navy veteran and a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, who inherited his inspiration to treat depression, PTSD, and chronic pain from the experiences he encountered during his military service. He has pledged to make these treatments accessible for those struggling with such conditions.

During your visit to Midwest Ketamine Center, please ensure to bring along a companion who can accompany you to your appointment and drive you back home as the ketamine might make you feel slightly weary. Upon your arrival, if needed, our proficient team will initiate with nausea medication. The treatment sessions take place in private rooms, with the infusion duration varying largely based on the conditions being treated; typically 45 minutes for those with mood disorders, and a few hours for patients struggling with pain disorders. Post the infusion, the effects wear off within minutes, yet some patients might feel unusually tired for a few hours. Our treatments are generally well-received and a series of six infusions is often delivered over the span of 2 weeks for mood disorders. Should you experience any side effects like visual disturbances or elevated blood pressure, our highly suitable staff can administer on-spot IV medications to counter them. Further, single booster infusions can be scheduled on need basis to rejuvenate symptom relief.
