Mia Sarno, based in sunny California, invites you to join her in a journey of getting to know not just yourself but also to explore a wide array of mental health resources. With a patient-driven approach, Dr. Sarno provides a holistic list of conveniently accessible mental health resources - including hotlines, therapist directories as well as enlightening information about her practice and the field’s best techniques. Graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, both with a Doctorate and a Master of Arts, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. This foundation allows her to effectively facilitate communication and understanding, all while striving for a stress-free, comprehensive therapeutic experience.

Dr. Sarno honed her clinical skills during her residency at the Bruce W. Carter Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Miami VA Healthcare System, and her internship at the Adult Outpatient Center for Behavioral Medicine, Jackson Health System, under the affiliation of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Outside of her practice she serves as an Adjunct Professor at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University. An advocate for continued exploration and development in her field, Dr. Sarno has also received specialist training in leading-edge techniques such as Fluence’s 5-MeO-DMT Research for Therapy, Polaris Insight Center’s Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS)’ MDMA Therapy Training Program. Moreover, she is an internationally certified Biofeedback Practitioner(B6482) through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, ensuring she’s equipped with the latest pulse in her industry.
