Intro

At the heart of New York City's vibrant landscape, licensed psychotherapist Matthew Morse offers a transformative and enriching therapeutic journey. Inspired by a deep-rooted belief in the healing power of talk therapy, his practice fosters a sacred alliance with clients centered upon mutual trust, curiosity, and validity. Putting you, the client, at the forefront, Matthew works diligently to facilitate key insights that enhance emotional intelligence, gain understanding of dominant attachment styles, reveal adaptive defense mechanisms, and bolster interpersonal skills. These significant takeaways aren't where the benefits stop – you can also expect a significant reduction in physical and emotional stress through his sessions.

Matthew’s therapeutic view is informed by his rich and diverse experiences, which have given rise to his unique approach to psychotherapy. After venturing to Nepal and India in 1987, he delved into the study and practice of Vajrayana Buddhism (Nyingmapa), at the feet of revered teachers, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. He's continuously maintained his involvement in Tibetan Buddhist psychology since 1988, embodying practices of body, speech, and mind. He is also well-versed in Psychodynamic exploration, Existential psychology, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Furthermore, his qualification as an Interfaith chaplain, coupled with his nearly six years of experience in end-of-life care at Calvary Home Hospice, enriches his therapeutic approach. Besides proudly holding an MA degree and psychotherapy practice license (LMHC), Matthew also provides psychedelic integration for adults and is passionate about aiding them in developing a personal daily wisdom practice. This passion extends to the arts, where he wholeheartedly encourages creativity as a form of expression and discovery.
