Based in California, Margaret Brako's practice aims to create a safe and accepting space where individuals can begin the process of self-rebuild. As a dedicated LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) rooted in Berkeley, Margaret collaborates with her clients to manage challenging emotions such as anxiety and depression, break away from the tortuous cycle of guilt and shame, and guide them back to regaining their sense of self. Her approach is deeply influenced by her compassionate zeal to imbue inner strength and empowerment within each person that seeks her assistance.

In her practice, Margaret delivers trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care for those from all walks of life. She brings with her the expertise and knowledge gained from a Master's in Social Work from New York University, obtained in 2014, followed by her extensive experience working with unhoused and underserved communities from 2012 to 2019. In these roles, Margaret honed her skills in addressing severe mental health challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. Further expanding her areas of expertise, Margaret underwent training in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at Sage Integrative Health in 2020, which allows her to provide both short-term and long-term therapeutic assistance in her practice. Notably, Margaret's approach to mental health support is also shaped by her personal experiences as a queer, Black woman, and a first-generation American, that enhances her understanding and responsiveness toward the unique struggles and perspectives of her clients.
