Intro

Welcoming teens and adults, Felicia Matto-Shepard's practice in Petaluma, California has been a haven for self-discovery and personal development since 1993. As a certified Jungian Analyst, Felicia integrates traditional psychotherapy, Jungian analysis, and Alchemical Art to guide individuals who feel their life may be held back by fear, self-doubt, or a lack of purpose. Her approach is rooted in the latest research in relational psychology and attachment theory blended with Jungian teachings of the unconscious. Whether your motivation for therapy stems from pain and psychological discomfort, or from a longing for deeper meaning and a stronger sense of purpose, Felicia's approach adjusts to meet your unique needs. She uses Alchemical Art, a creative and exploratory process inspired by the principles of alchemy that requires curiosity and awareness, as a tool in workshops, classes, and private sessions.

Felicia embarked on a journey into the depths of the unconscious during her teenage years, cultivating a deep-seated interest in the crossroads of psychology and spirituality. Throughout her career, she has delved into the realms of myth and symbol, shamanism, movement, gender issues, and the transformative role of ritual and ceremony. Since her certification by the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco in 2015, Felicia has provided short and long term therapy for adults and teens. Reconnecting with the creative arts around 2005, she identified creativity as a gateway to the soul. Felicia expanded her skillset in 2018 by training in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, and now offers these innovative treatments at Temenos clinic in Petaluma. In addition to her practice, she shares her insights and knowledge through lectures and workshops covering Alchemical Art, embodiment and sexuality. Felicia also hosts weekly Alchemical Art process classes in her Petaluma studio.
