Intro

Located in the heart of California, Dmitry Vulfovich's practice is a unique blend of holistic and body-oriented psychotherapy. Drawing heavily on Eastern wisdom, Shamanism, Gestalt and Process Psychology, Dmitry provides trusted, person-centered therapy to support clients on their journeys to healing. As the Clinical Director and Master Teacher at Spiral Process Therapy, Dmitry has spent years honing his skills across a spectrum of healing disciplines. He is well-versed in meditation, self-inquiry, dance movement therapy, plant medicines, yoga, and Zen. With his decade-long experience since 2010, Dmitry offers therapies based on the Process Model, imparted to him by his esteemed mentors, Don and Carol Hadlock, alongside a range of other Experiential Somatic therapy techniques.

Dmitry Vulfovich's approach to therapy is refreshingly non-confrontational. He sees symptoms, not as problems to be forcefully eradicated, but as compasses, pointing to areas of emotional distress. A key feature of his practice involves harnessing the body's inherent wisdom. As he understands, traumas and struggles take physical forms within us, deep-set within our muscular patterns. Through a blend of mindfulness and experiential techniques, Dmitry guides his clients towards release and true healing. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University and an M.A. in Holistic Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Besides his official licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2016, Dmitry has undergone extensive training in Process Therapy, Hakomi Therapeutic Process and Experiential Therapy under the guidance of Don Hadlock. His thesis in Ethnobotanical Assisted Psychotherapy is a testament to his commitment towards integrating traditional knowledge systems into modern psychotherapy. Additionally, his credentials as a Master Meditator and Zen Teacher afford him unique wisdom for mental wellness.
