Intro

Connecticut Psychiatric, located in Hamden, Connecticut, is a lifesaver for those suffering from persistent mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Led by Dr. David M. Aversa and his accomplished team, they provide an encompassing approach to mental health care services, aiming to offer hope and recovery for those who felt they had exhausted all options. This wellness center specializes in innovative treatments like ketamine therapy through infusion and nasal spray, ensuring that even in the most severe cases, they can deliver the utmost level of care. To inquire about becoming a patient, you can call, email, or you even have the option to text staff member Monica on 475-777-1865 (please note this communication line is not available on Wednesdays).

The therapies offered by Connecticut Psychiatric are personalized to each patient's specific medical needs, meaning your experience may differ from others. They utilize modern technology for the safe administration of ketamine and consistently monitor you throughout your treatment session. The frequency and specifics of your treatment depend on your unique needs, which could involve IV ketamine therapy, requiring two sessions a week for 4-5 weeks with each session lasting 40 minutes. Spravato ketamine therapy also provides a unique experience where you administer the medication yourself in the office under the careful supervision of the Connecticut Psychiatric staff. They manage your progress for up to two hours post-administration and in the first month, you would have to come in twice a week for therapy, which then further reduces to once a week or every other week as per the progress.
